বিএনপি যতই আটলান্টিকের ওপারে তাকিয়ে থাকুক, শেখ হাসিনা ভিসা নীতির তোয়াক্কা করেন না। বৃহস্পতিবার দুপুরে ছাত্রলীগের ৭৬তম প্রতিষ্ঠাবার্ষিকী উপলক্ষে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে আয়োজিত অনুষ্ঠানে আওয়ামী লীগের সাধারণ সম্পাদক ও সেতুমন্ত্রী ওবায়দুল কাদের এ কথা বলেন। তিনি বলেন, শেখ হাসিনা কোনো বিদেশি শক্তির হুমকি-ধামকির পরোয়া করেন না। আটলান্টিকের ওপারের স্যাংশনকে ভয় পান না। তিনি একমাত্র স্রষ্টাকে ভয় পান। ভালোবাসেন বাংলাদেশের জনগণকে। বাংলাদেশের মাটি, বাংলাদেশের জনগণ আমাদের শক্তির উৎস।
ওবায়দুল কাদের আরও বলেন, তারেক রহমান নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন বোমা মেরে আতঙ্ক সৃষ্টি করবে। এই বিএনপিকে চিরতরে লাল কার্ড দেখাতে হবে। ভালো লোকেরা নির্বাচিত হলে দেশ ভালো চলবে, নতুবা দুঃশাসন অনিবার্য বলেও মন্তব্য করেন তিনি। তিনি বলেন, ৭ই জানুয়ারি খেলা হবে।
