লিসা ফ্রানচেত্তিকে মনোনয়ন দেওয়ার ব্যাপারে এক বিবৃতিতে প্রেসিডেন্ট বাইডেন বলেছেন, ‘ফ্রানচেত্তি একজন কমিশন্ড অফিসার এবং সঙ্গে নৌবাহিনীর উপপ্রধান হিসেবে আমাদের দেশের সেবায় ২৮ বছরে পা দেবেন।’
তিনি আরও বলেছেন, ‘যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের নৌবাহিনীর ইতিহাসে তিনি দ্বিতীয় নারী যিনি চার স্টার অ্যাডমিরালের মর্যাদা অর্জন করেছেন। যদি তার মনোনয়ন নিশ্চিত হয় তাহলে তিনি আবারও প্রথম নারী নৌবাহিনী প্রধান এবং জয়েন্ট চিফ অফ স্টাফ হিসেবে ইতিহাস গড়বেন।
