মার্কিন যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের স্পর্শকাতর সামরিক স্থাপনার ছবি হাতে পাওয়ার দাবি করেছে উত্তর কোরিয়া।
দেশটি জানিয়েছে, গত সপ্তাহে তারা মহাকাশে যে গোয়েন্দা স্যাটেলাইট পাঠিয়েছে তা এরইমধ্যে আমেরিকার গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ও স্পর্শকাতর সামরিক স্থাপনার ছবিসহ হোয়াইট হাউজের ছবিও তুলেছে। পিয়ংইয়ং আগেই জানিয়েছে, মহাকাশে পাঠানো গোয়েন্দা স্যাটেলাইটের মাধ্যমে তারা প্রধানত দক্ষিণ কোরিয়া ও আমেরিকার সেনাদের তৎপরতা পর্যবেক্ষণ করবে।
উত্তর কোরিয়ার রাষ্ট্রীয় বার্তা কেসিএনএন জানিয়েছে, এরইমধ্যে উত্তর কোরিয়ার নেতা কিম জং উন স্যাটেলাইট থেকে পাঠানো ছবি পর্যালোচনা করেছেন।
কেসিএনএ বলেছে, “শ্রদ্ধেয় কমরেড কিম জং উন স্যাটেলাইটের এই সফলতায় বিশেষ সন্তুষ্টি প্রকাশ করেছেন।”
খবরে বলা হয়েছে, উত্তর কোরিয়ার স্যাটেলাইট প্রস্তুতিমূলক কাজ শুরু করেছে এবং শিগগিরই তার আনুষ্ঠানিক কার্যক্রম শুরু করবে।
কেসিএনএ জানিয়েছে, গুয়াম দ্বীপের অ্যান্ডারসন বিমানঘাঁটি ও ভার্জিনিয়া এয়ারফিল্ডের ছবি এমনকি ইতালির রাজধানী রোমের ছবি তুলেছে নতুন পাঠানো এই স্যাটেলাইট।
কেসিএনএ’র দাবি, ভার্জিনিয়া থেকে যে ছবি তুলেছে স্যাটেলাইটটি তাতে মার্কিন নৌবাহিনীর পরমাণু শক্তিচালিত বিমানবাহী রণতরী এবং একটি ব্রিটিশ বিমানবাহী জাহাজের ছবি রয়েছে।
দক্ষিণ কোরিয়ার সরকারি কর্মকর্তারা বলেছেন, উত্তর কোরিয়ার এই দাবি তারা তদন্ত করে নিশ্চিত হতে পারেননি। মার্কিন জাতীয় নিরাপত্তা পরিষদের একজন মুখপাত্রও উত্তর কোরিয়ার স্যাটেলাইট থেকে ছবি তোলার বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করতে পারেননি। তবে তিনি মহাকাশে এ ধরনের স্যাটেলাইট পাঠানোর নিন্দা করেছেন।
