গত মে মাস পর্যন্ত আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে চীনের বৈদেশিক মুদ্রার রিজার্ভ দেখানো হয়েছে ৩ দশমিক ১৭ ট্রিলিয়ন বা ৩ লাখ ১৭ হাজার কোটি মার্কিন ডলার। কিন্তু ব্র্যাড সেটসারের দাবি, চীনের কাছে সব মিলিয়ে প্রায় ৬ ট্রিলিয়ন বা ৬ লাখ কোটি ডলারের বৈদেশিক মুদ্রার রিজার্ভ রয়েছে। প্রসঙ্গত, এক ট্রিলিয়ন সমান এক লাখ কোটি।
